Boy! A couple of great looking examples so far. I have been around long enough to know these are standard production automobiles, but it would be so easy to think of them as Motorama show cars if one didn't know better.

No, the car got traded in for a new 59 4 door hardtop 88. The plaque is available at O’Brians truckers.

Owned her now for 40 years. Am the second owner! Did all of the custom work in 1982-3. Put around 160,000 miles on her from 83-2003. Needs a rebuild now, though. 57 Olds 2002 Lancaster.jpg

I love them all, but especially the 98s. They have that long and low look that hits hard on a custom car, plus they have the most beautiful dashboards and gauge clusters of any 50s era made.

Here's my '56 Holiday 98 coupe from the Custom Car Revival this year, and the thread I started when I picked this one up last year. I've had more fun with this car than maybe any other old car I've ever had.

Beautiful cars but this thread brought back a bad memory. I located a '55 Starfire convertible in Osoyoos and it was in great shape. One rust hole about 3" square on driver's floor. Paint was sunburnt blue and white. All the missing parts were in the trunk, chrome was great and really only needed a new top and front seat upholstery. In the junkyard due to a buggered transmission.

Made a deal with the yard owner and said I'd go get the cash right away. No, no, I keep if for you and pay me when you pick it up. End of the summer and I had about two days before back to teaching. Said I could come during Christmas break and just before he called and roads were too bad. Spring break was agreed to and two days before I was to leave I called him to let him know. He claims I was supposed to pick it up months earlier and the deal was off! He said he traded it for some plumbing work. I found out that he had the car for another year or so and then sold it to a fellow in the Williams Lake area. Scary schumbag...

I mentioned the locations just in case someone now has the car; I put a curse on it years ago!
