New tires arrived today!!! I went back and forth a bunch on which tires to get. Finally, decided on the Diamond Back auburns with 650r16 for the back, and 550r16 on the front. The wheels are getting powder coated and should have them back in a couple days. Can’t wait to see it sitting on the right wheels!

Got a few pictures from my friend who is doing the body work. There was a lot of bondo and fair amount of brass, but it’s exciting to see progress!!! The color I’m going with is a Ford color called silvertone gray.

Yeah, it was a real mess. There was brass and then bondo on both sides, not a lot of metal was left down there. It's well on it's way to being solid again!!!

It's hard to be patient. Got some updated pictures and the T has its first coat of primer. It's moving slow, but it's moving. It has come a long ways!

Got the paint matched. I think it looks pretty dang close. I’ve always liked silvertone gray!

Just curious, I think I modified some handle bars for you in exchange for 2 scale drawings years ago. Name/user name/location/car look familiar. If it is you, glad to see you’re getting close to finishing.

That’s definitely a different color choice. I like the oddball colors

I'm pretty sure that was me. I don't remember what the drawings were for, sometimes my memory gets a little fuzzy.

Finally, the body and frame are back together. Even if it’s just zipped tied on at the moment. I’m really liking the silvertone gray against all of the black parts. The grille shell, dash, and gas tank all also painted in this color.

Quality takes time...The color reminds me of the recently completed Dick Williams T changing with the surroundings...Really coming together @kram

It was a 1/1 scale of a frame I drew up for a frame to make for my kid.

Back on topic. That paint is beautiful! Well so is the rest but that’s a given.

Thanks! It really is an interesting color. In the sunlight it's quite green, in the shade it goes more blue/gray.

    Thanks Tim! It's so exciting.

I slightly wish that it was a flathead, but that's never really been in the budget, especially back when I started this build. The small block will still be awesome!

Oh yeah, that picture totally brought my memories back. Your user name was 'sensor', right? That was an amazing little build you did. Glad, to see you around!

This weekend I had a chance to get the mount for the gas tank made. I still need to finish up all the welding and paint it, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

It felt like I needed to get all the sheet metal mocked up. It’s been a lot of years since it was all together and I was concerned about the decisions I had made back then. One of my main concerns was where the radiator shell was sitting. The body will come down just a little when it’s permanently mounted, but I think everything is in a good place.
Also, when I put the windshield stanchions on they weren’t even close to fitting on the body. Some time with a bench vise and large crescent wrench and I’m very happy with how they are fitting now.

Found this older thread and I couldn’t get over the leaned back windshields on the roadsters. I really liked the model a style ones that you could adjust. It got me thinking thus they would be awesome on my little roadster.

    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...leaned-the-roadster-windshield-thread.700778/

I found a few pictures of T’s with laid back windshield but on the 1926-27 they weren’t adjustable. I searched but couldn’t find any, so I decided to give it a try making my own.

I started by using some string to decide where th think the pivot should go. I wanted it just above the cowl, so that the windshield frame wouldn’t hit when leaned back.
    764A87C2-FBC5-46BC-9941-3271C3C9D191.jpeg

I still had the pieces left over from when cut the aftermarket stanchions down, and planned to use them as the new pivot.
    D5347C6D-14BF-448F-96AE-CAC4E28247CF.jpeg
I got the pivots cut out, and everything marked. Then I cut the stanchions, and tacked the pivot to the top portion.
    99F0814F-8102-4DF2-85B2-20E426548FE8.jpeg 10D915E5-60D2-43F2-8338-8CE0DD689F39.jpeg

Figuring out where to notch the lower section was the most difficult part. It’s on a curve and the stanchions narrow towards the rear. If I didn’t get it close to strait the windshield wouldn’t pivot.
    C4C8137F-65F0-4D44-9C25-507FA4092642.jpeg
Then I welded in a little piece for the lower stud.

    131DE444-B7D5-49EB-95D5-377825B7AA75.jpeg
With that in and lot of grinding, tacking, and re tacking I got it together where it was working pretty good. 8EAFC910-B4F1-4D67-8A64-AF6027D386B0.jpeg 2ED86B13-92D5-49DF-BFF8-2193CEA51C8E.jpeg 6795897B-19DB-4491-8182-DF605FE06D6C.jpeg

Doing the other side was a lot faster. They still need to be finished off and some adjustments made. That being said they turned out better than I expected. 16D83F34-B338-4203-AFB7-8F1C14E97170.jpeg FCCFE0C1-6D4F-4DDA-91DA-DFD58B4E0B84.jpeg 4651D05D-2E8F-425C-84F2-35D2607591CA.jpeg 9A3ABF5E-CB76-4CB6-8918-C850FC4ED9DB.jpeg D44E2628-639C-4D88-AF39-7BE15FA6B91E.jpeg 5DCFEFAD-1D1C-4BF5-BFB7-821B8C4EEA61.jpeg
