These adapters look great. I have a 331 hemi I want to put in my 1934 Ford 3-window. I looked at the Hurst ad and it looks like I need A-28 adapters also. Does anyone make these adapters for the frame? Are the adapters only needed if you have a 4-cylinder frame. Mine was a V-8 and maybe the adapters aren't necessary.

    Help would be appreciated.

I made a couple sets of these a couple years ago for a customer, I had enough parts burned and bent to make 10 sets of these. I think I still have the parts to weld up at least 8 sets. they are an exact copy of the hurst mounts and use the flathead hockey pucks.

Chassis Engineering has what you need. I used theirs to put a Hemi in my '32.

I found an original set of red Hurst mounts in a box that came with a '55 331 (c300) Hemi. Since I have them, I'll use them with a cross member built across the frame in my '50 Hudson Coupe. I don't like those big plate looking things. These Hurst ones should give lots of room for headers I think.

Jason, I am looking for a pair on mounts to put a 331 Hemi in my '40 Ford. Actually I have the passenger side but no drivers side but figure I better look for a complete set.

are they mirror images and copy-able?

  19. I just spoke to a longtime friend who made a bunch of these Cadillac, Buick and Hemi mounts years ago in his metal fab shop. Those of you that bought these mounts through Belmont's Rod & Custom a decade ago were buying Peter's laser cut and TIG welded Hurst copies.

He still has them for sale.

PM me for his cell number to text him for a set.
