Thank you sir, and I am thankful because I feel like I have a bunch of new friends and we are all taking a hot rod correspondence course.

    The HRCC......I like it! :D:D

  4. Nice job on the linkage, but it looks like larger diameter clevis pins would take out a lot of play. JMHO, YMMV

It's not just shift linkage it's also an "anti-theft" device. Think about how many of us left that has ever used a column shifter LOL.

I actually had to make the diameter smaller to fit the factory replacement bushings. What I need is longer pins so I can get washers on the back side. The clevis was actually too narrow to fit so I cut one side off. I'm going to make longer pins and weld the other half of the clevis back on at the proper width and use more girthy cotter pins. But, concept proven....I knew I was gonna hafta tweak it. Appreciate the input!

Frame stained and ready to go in....but I’m finishing some things up before I put the floor in for the last time.

I also dodged a major bullet! Until I get the filter I want, I wanted to block off the outlet port only to find it was damaged and I couldn’t screw in the flared block off fitting that I made....so it had to come out. Wasted the entire evening trying to remove this bitch....with visions of it breaking off in the block... Perseverance got it.....whew!

The plate reflector is great. I can see mine as clear as day when swinging into the garage at times.

Seat looks great and good save on the brass fitting. That could have gotten real fun if it had broken in that position

The nightmare scenario was playing out in my head! I was imagining having to remove the engine after that thing broke off in the block! Then it moved ever so slightly.....then came the back and forth and more WD-40....and I gradually walked it out.....whew!

yes Sir, I've spent many nervous hours fixing those type of problems for me and my fellow coworkers. That is a bad position to work from.

Thanks Mike! I'm not a big fan of chaotic wiring.....I'm even using a sharpie to add tracers. I'm documenting it in my notebook, because I'll NEVER remember all this stuff!!
