I am a wagon guy, the horse drawn kind. I just saved and old steel running gear from certain death in a field. Apparently in the 1930s this old 1890s bettendorf was called back into service and some axles were welded on it. Does anyone know what they are? I am happy to offer free rides for helping!

Some more pictures. I think they welded car axles on the wagon.

I think someone changed it out because there are old brackets. There are numbers but I can't get them to come back to anything.

  11. The backing plates and hubs are defiantly off a fwd car.

my guess with the square flange and torx bits either a Buick or olds fwd car mid to late 80’s.

by the mid 90’s most GM stuff had rear disc brakes.

Story was during the depression they fixed a wagon that the wheels rusted off the bottom of because the cars were useless...dont know if that even remotely sounds reasonably true lol

You were 100% spot on. Found a date code of 83 on them. Looks like some tried to replace the old axle at some point.
