    :rolleyes:...I am envisioning this dropped in the rear significantly too close to period correct near tire stance and that would bring a race ready taildragger...could this even have been nose up in its Heyday?

    I set the flanges at 5 1/2" spacing, same as a SBC Tri-power manifold, so I can buy the Speedway Motors kit for progressive 2Gs and use their linkage etc. If it doesn't work out, the manifold should work for 1, 2, or 3 carbs, 1 bbls or 2 bbls. If the 2Gs are too much carb I can switch to 97s by changing adaptors. 97s would look better. I have Rochester Bs and Carter W1s on my shelf so plenty of options. I'm thinking progressive 2Gs will work fine.

    @Stogy,
    I’ve been telling Mike (@Gofannon) that he needs to do a build thread……..it is certainly worthy of it……perhaps if a few others ask he might do one……….

    Sounds like you've got it covered. I think you'll be fine with the 2Gs if you can jet them for what you really want it to do. Sometimes I've gotten carried away. It will be interesting to see what you end up with. I had one 2G on my 270 GMC and it ran well. I'd like to follow your build.

    I ran a a factory 2GC on my stock 326 Pontiac and 4-speed trans, and it was a good responsive street carb but not a carb for maximum power. Unfortunately I think you will be over-carbed at 2, let alone 3, even if you have 2 on the tri-power bases.

    Interesting for sure. Would prefer front brakes, radiator, no sheet (?) over front of engine & completed intake. Note the hole where carb goes. Some HAMBers might not like turbos but they were developed pre WW2. Of coarse AMC had EFI pre 65 but that also frowned upon and this rod needs EFI.

    It needs a bit of help to bring it back to 1965...

    There was a radical T shared here some time ago with similar but more period focus...I wonder it it ever got done...

    Most of that was going on before my time and when I was very young. If you had been there then you wouldn't be here now unless you were one of the VERY FEW. I'm glad there are pictures and a few movies. :)
