    I am in total agreement that a three speed is plenty adequate with a high power to weight ratio.
    A few OT cars I have owned with substantial engine power, coupled to five speeds (much less six!) were a waste of gears in normal driving. First, third and fifth was all it took. Some guys just have a thing about shifting a multitude of gears....to each his own, but I am not one of them. ;)

    I have a 1968 Peterson book called "The complete book of engine swapping". It has a lot of information in it. Also has a pretty complete list of trans adapters and motor mount kits available at that time. Gene.
