I’m a former JHRS employee. I’m happy for them. Vernon Walker visited a few times while I was there. He answered a lot of dumb questions that I had graciously. Seems Vernon and the Johnson’s have know each other for a long time. JHRS built Vernon’s two “test mule” hot rods. Vernon has probably put nearly 350-400k driving those by now. On the other side, Brice Thomas/US radiator is a few miles from JHRS. Brice Thomas built a radiator for a project this spring for me. On time, great looking and performing product. I’ve texted back and forth with one of the owners many times. Their service was spot on. Both radiator services handles commercial (large trucks and equipment) radiators. I wonder if JHRS continues that or focuses on the hot rods. I bet the Johnsons logo will replace the well known Walker one.
It's good news. Here's the other discussion on this topic from last week: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/walker-radiator-update.1234141/
That is great news. I have used dozens of Walker Radiators over the years and never had an issue. I wish someone was able to step up and take over for LeBaron Bonney but that ship has sailed, or sunk.
A friend of mine has already purchased a 1932 Ford V8 radiator he says the quality is just as good / same as Walker. It was one of the First produced by the new Owner/company.
