I was judging by the triangle shape hub's.

 

I dunno... I'm not 100 on this one...

 

I'm changing my vote to Hudson-- oop Slatflats beat me to it. Man they are similar...

 

Looks to me like a child who doesn't want their photo taken.

 

I am thinking 1922 or so Hudson

 

No clue on the car, fine looking horse though.

 

Hudson made the Essex as a more budget-friendly car akin to Ford and Chevrolet, so it makes sense they are so similar.

 

That's why mom was so unhappy setting on the running board.

The height of the louvers on the Hudson vs the Essex is a key difference. Very close otherwise.

 

Hudson hood is longer and lower then Essex. 1923-24 Hudson is my guess.
Factory had several sedan bodies , and custom bodies avaiable.

Note the shape of the bead rolled detail on the splash apron, and the hole in it at the rear (under the belly of the horse).







Also, note the door handle with lock cylinder above it.

 

I think the First one is a 1928 Oakland it has the wheels
and the Hood look's the same also.
