Yea, run the engine in the rear with the timing chain facing the rear (mount the engine backwards) hook the motor to a trans then to a heavy duty truck transfer case, with the driveshaft running back to the rear-end. You will have the entire front of the vehicle to do as you please. Sounds easy, too easy, now where is the bubble top going?

As it is dec 25(as I have done for years) I figured I would post some shots of what I am up to on the car.I have been working on what was the trunk now the engine compartment I removed the trunk gutter area and what I would call a metal waterfall as the metal rolls over the side.If you look close you will see I have also been working on the top area for the bubble you will see more on that later as I prepare to blow the bubble.Hehe!!! 20201213_150221.jpg 20201213_150235.jpg

An Olds Toronado or Cadillac Eldorado transaxle (with an adapter to the engine of your choice) looks.

I have a Wilcap adapter on mine, that attaches a Chrysler Hemi.

A Nailhead adapter can likely be had, or made.

The tie rods can be locked-out.

Despite outward appearances, they TH425 is mostly a TH400 inside.

For what it is worth, the track (tread) with on that Olds is 63.5", as is the Cadillac.

Coilovers can replace the torsion bars, to reduce the size of the assembly.

If you are utterly irresponsible, and are up for a ridiculous amount of fabrication, you can go mid-engine.

Well the bubble is blown!!!here it is set up on the base that I made. After seeing the what bad chad did on his tv show I thought that may be the easiest option for me I dont have pics of the blow up because I was there by myself and only had a short time to do it I started by calling the local powder coaters to see if I could rent there oven on a non busy day I found one that agreed to give me a call when he had down time.I used to 3/4 inch plywood cut my hole in one used a bedsheet in between with slices cut into it add an air fitting and ball valve and gauge and i am ready to go.Using 1/4 acrylic sheet.I got the call to come over after alittle trial and error I wont bore you with ..I got it where I wanted it..Heres a pic enjoy!!! 20210311_140034.jpg

Milestones are awesome...congrats on this and the others however minor @THE KUSTOMIZER

It's interesting the extended fins which are radical and very fitting don't have that same effect in the Bubble shot but all Hotrod/Customs have their angles that set off their many features...

I was also thinking about you replacing the vintage front suspension. It actually adds something out of this world to the shot from the front in a good way in my opinion...might be nice to leave it as ballast for the rear engine. How does that knee action perform...maybe you can get it to raise and lower hydraulically.

I actually saw an old Hotrod A pickup not so long ago here that was swapped onto a Chev Chassis and it had that suspension...I was looking at it scratching my head thinking how unusual it looked...

Thanks Stogy I think the fins are fine its the angle that the pic was taken. As far as the front suspension your right it adds ballast and looks cool and the gas tank will up there also. Its funny you mension hydraulics..I have already figured out how to do an airbag setup on it..

KUSTOM I read you were working on an air setup...is that actually in unison with the vintage knee action or in place of? That is why I mentioned modding the original front suspension hydraulically.

I recall the Mechanic working on that A pickup on the early chevy frame saying the suspension may have been adjustable...The owner or that truck ditched the old and I completely lost interest in it...I figure it was a 50s 60s Hotrod prior to the new iteration underway...happens a lot...

It's funny, I have done a fair bit of searching in google patent and there may have been a genius that had drummed up something along the lines of what you've proposed...sometimes our news ideas are actually very very old news, and there's truly nothing wrong with that either...

The air bags will work with the knee action I have removed the springs from inside the cylinders and the shock valving and oil that was in there. So the air bags will adjust the ride height..
