1930 Ford Model A coupe Hotrod/Sale Pending I’ve had this car for a year or so. I bought it as a running, driving, mechanically sound project to have something to keep me busy. As it turns out, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Shortly after delivery, the country went on lockdown and working on this not only kept me busy, but sane. But as so often happens with me, it’s the journey and not so much the destination that gives me pleasure. So, I’ll sell this and hunt for my next “project”. The information I got from the owner is that the car was built in California within the last few years. The original body is in very good rust free and straight condition with a 3” chop. A new wood kit. Very tasteful pin striping on trunk, grille shell, headlight buckets and dash. Canvas snap on roof insert for those days when you want a convertible feeling. All glass is perfect. New window regulators, new felt window channels. Restored steering wheel. The firewall, floor, inside doors and behind kick panels have been heat and soundproofed. Comfortable bucket seats in very good condition. After having been over, under and all around the car, it has an aftermarket frame and what I believe to be all Pete and Jake suspension parts. Dropped front axle, ‘32 grille shell. Aluminum radiator with overflow tank. A new hood from Rootleib with leather strap hold downs. A very good running and strong 292 Y Block that according to the serial number is from a 1959 Fairlane. It starts right up and never smokes. A Ford in a Ford. Now there’s a novel concept. Holley 4160 Pertronix and coil Mid ‘60’s Ford three speed top loader that shifts very smoothly. Dana 41 rear end. Vega steering box with no play. New tie rod ends and alignment. Drum brakes all around with Buick 45 fin aluminum drums up front. Shoes are like new. Gas tank in trunk along with the battery and fire extinguisher. Brand new BF Goodrich Silvertown big and littles with less than 100 miles on them with new rims, trim rings and caps. It needs nothing unless you want to add some of your own personal touches It doesn’t have A/C, it has windows to open It doesn’t have power steering. Steering is by “Armstrong” It doesn’t have disc brakes. It takes more than a toe tap to stop it It doesn’t have adjustable coil over shocks, you “feel” the road It doesn’t have a stereo. It does however produce a symphony of sounds: From the wind section, a variable bass note, through the glass packs and out of the tailpipes. From percussion, a steady beat of hotrod bumps and thumps. All orchestrated by the “Conductor” up front responding immediately to your request to change tempo. $29,500.00 PM if interested. Thanks I don’t need help to sell it and please, no trades.
