A question about Diamondbacks: I have had several sets of Cokers on my '53 pickup and have never had a structural issue but cosmetic issues have been deal killers. I live on 2 miles of dirt, gravel, rock road. The way Cokers are made the white rubber is under all the black lettering and logos almost all the way to the tread. All of that eventually rubs off on my road and the white walls look like they belong on a circus wagon. Question, Are Diamondbacks made the same way? I haven't had this problem on tires I have cut/ground myself. I just don't want to do it anymore. I haven't found an answer to this on the many tire threads I've read.

Diamondback Tires are not like Coker tires, personally they are excellant and I'm so glad they are making tires for us.

I'm about half-way through this thread and really enjoying it. Hopefully nobody has beat me to this first one, then the others are in scale (I hope that's OK).

First up, the Fred Steele/Don Spinney T bucket from the equally fabulous Ventures In Space album.

And a few of my builds, which I think will fit the era here pretty well....

This last group, except for the Lee Titus 32 replica, is a bunch of old survivors, all built in the early 60's on my Vintage Workbench. If you like vintage built (pre-1980s) model cars, we have a Facebook group called Scale Survivors.

I remember when the AMT Model T roadster kit came out. I think it was $1.25 but the change in my pocket was not enough without a beat up quarter that the store owner would not take. I walked across the street to a gas station and put the quarter in the Coke machine I got a Coke and a dime back. That was all I needed to buy the T kit. :)

What do you suppose that aluminum cover on the cowl side is for? Streamlining a brick?

Love the original AMT box art and the kits. I had all those way back.
