    Ace.., those look great...
I've done some "Reverse trike" internet searching and never seen those before. Craftsmanship looks first class, Initially reminded me of a "Quatro". What is engine/chassis from?

love yer project.... BUT please explain how this spring can work? as it straightens doesn't it "grow" in length pushing bottom of axle, but held in place by strut rod. thus becoming a four bar suspension?

742; basically it's a triangulated 4-link, which doesn't require a "track bar" to locate axle side to side (the triangulation holds). The lower 2 links are just replaced with leaf springs (without shackles). your correct as the leaf's flatten it will rotate the axles, changing the "caster" a little bit. In a typical 4 link with 2 coil springs, the caster also changes as suspension goes up/down some. With full vehicle weight the leafs are closer to flat, and don't grow/shrink as much as you think. As long as it's not extreme, it will ride and handle acceptable.

EDIT: after miles of test driving, leaf springs started to "fan out" a little and front end seems to be twitchy (sometime want to go left or right a little bit) I put leaf clamps to keep spring inline and added a trackbar. It correct the driving issues and really made front end handle tight, (like a go cart). I'll be testing it a highway speed next.

Had the Trike out a couple weekends ago, got me motivated to get back on it...
Not sure what this rear view mirror came off, but a couple bends and it fits and will work good. Also made this center console, radio bezel, shifter boot hole thing using a couple little pieces of the hood I used for the body. (had to make out of 2 sections due to size of shifter/clutch lever)

Gonna make a shifter boot next, then think I'm gonna continue working on the firewall and carpet.

Getting very close to Initial inspection and being PA. Registered. Not actual plate I'll be using, but getting ready for it.

    Yes, him and myself... lol
He's a long haired Chihuahua and really doesn't need any caffeine. But if he ever gets a chance, he's all over my coffee cup. I wish I had 1/4 of his energy...

  14. That's the big brother to my Avion. Made by the same guy. Powered by Citroen 2CV 602cc engine and gearbox. Has about 35 bhp at the wheels with the mods I've done to carb, ignition, compression and exhaust. Lightened flywheel helps too. Chassis is custom made for the car.

I have a later 652cc Citroen Visa engine. Same air cooled flat twin but more modern design with 3 main bearings instead of two, aluminium nikasyl lined barrels and electronic ignition. I will fit that over the winter. Not much more horsepower (although an extra 5 is a big deal when you only have 35 to start with). The Visa engine has more torque and is less prone to over heating.

Great job on your trike btw

Paperwork sent from PA Enhanced Inspection Station to PENN DOT, to get a legal PA title finally.
Did make a couple changes, the steering has always been a little quirky and the leaf springs stated to fan out slightly. I made some leaf spring clamps to keep leaves inline and also made a trackbar. It made a huge difference, makes it feel much more stable.

    To quote Ray Wylie Hubbard:

"Some things under heaven are cooler'n hell."

That's one of them. The grille and how you used the fenders is absolutely amazing.

Well done, can't wait to see it finished.

How was the summer with the trike? Did you get much time on the road with it? How’s it running?
