Today for our 1st. regular monthly midpoint meeting of 2021, with some pals from Saskatoon for telling lies and laughs after a long winter ......
So tonight I headed over to my old side of town and met up with my buddy Dave for what was supposed to be the weekly Thursday night cruise. The location was being shifted from the usual location because of construction and renovation. After visiting a little we realized that we were having a 2 car cruise as we saw other cars going by but no one else was coming Turns out that the relocation is next week so we headed out and met up with everyone at the usual place Had our wires crossed One shot of our small car show and then me following Dave to the right place

BIG NEWS CANADIAN BACONS!!!! Deuce Days 2022 in Victoria is a go!! Just announced today by Al Clark and Victoria tourism. Dates are July 14-17 2022. Heard through the grapevine registration should open sometime next month. Regi fills up in a blink so once they open it don't wait!!! Also as a tip, take a good look at Airbnb for accommodations vs the hotels as you can find some great spots close to the inner harbour for a lot less than the hotel rates as they jack them for the event. I booked mine a few weeks ago on the rumour that the show was gonna happen and i'm in a one bedroom condo behind the Empress Hotel with secure under ground parking. Same thing we did for the last one in 2019. Here's another link to the news release. Let's see you east coasters make the trek out west next year!!! https://www.cheknews.ca/northwest-deuce-days-set-to-return-to-victoria-in-2022-834756/
Front end Friday.. why not. From camping with the boy in Cypress Hills, AB. Nothing like stuffing what you can in a Model A and spending some time outdoors.
DAMN that brings back memories! I did the same thing with my son back in the day when I had my deuce 4 door ! Went trout fishing , and caught some !! You can’t beat the CYPRESS HILLS !!!
We did some fishing as well, didn't catch anything, but lots of weeds biting. haha. I prefer creek fishing, but the mosquitoes were pretty bad so the boy decided enough was enough lol. So we fished off shore. Out around most campgrounds, parks and beaches the flys and mosquitos are nil. Cypress is one of my favorite places to camp as well, I also need a car with a back seat to get the whole family in on the action at the same time, though the one on one time is pretty special as well. Here's a couple more pics, a hot rod doing what it should, out exploring and not worrying about looking pretty.
I enjoyed the article about you and the family, Ernie. Here's a link for the rest of the group to enjoy! https://leaderpost.com/life/regina-family-keeps-the-streets-alive-with-collection-of-classic-cars
Every time we bring hot rods to a Provincial park somewhere along the line we are always asked to leave. Those park rangers have no sense of humor.
