At first I was gonna hit it with a scotchbrite to dull it down, but wondered what it would look like....it’s staying shiny! After the contribution from my boss, a little something shiny, just for him, won’t hurt. It grew on me....

Unfortunately, I can’t use a mechanical fan....but, this actually doesn’t look too bad. Still have to take it back out to install the belt and install my spark plug wires.....I’m gettin’ there!

Hey thanks man! That’s a long read... I get anxiety when I look back on this thread of just how much work I did. Yep, I’m really hoping to get it done this summer, I’d like to take it to TROG this fall. Stick around....there’s more coming!

Got my looms, plugs and wires done! I bumbled across a vintage set of Auburn plugs and immediately thought of my Pop....so I snapped them up! He loved those plugs and would piss and moan because they stopped making them. Working front to rear, taking some bites outta this thing....stay cool fellas!

Gauges installed, found a location for my coil and got my hoses cut to fit....the clamps I had were too big for the radiator side, need to find clamps that look decent. Still enjoy my therapy! I know I know.....it's supposed to be "too"....not enough room......:D

Have to go with electric fuel pump....mechanical one won’t fit. I cut a half inch off the bottom of the pump rod, left the umbrella in place and welded a tab to hold the top in place when I made the blockoff. I ordered the Holley 1.5-4psi pump. Also finished up the toe board....completely removable and easily disassembled.....happy Independence weekend fellas!!!

I think you have enough engine setback to qualify as an Altered :)

Too funny! I wasn't cutting, clearancing and welding anything else!! I've got the recess where I like it and it leaves me with some nice interior space and a comfortable throttle position. So, it was time for an elcetric. It's a shame, because I rebuilt the pump and was all set to see the first burbles of gas into the bowl when I go to start it. BUT....I do have some of those old school Carter bowl filters I'm gonna use now. We'll see about location when I plumb the fuel system. I thought I was done playing dominoes....but I guess they'll haunt me until I'm done! :D

I figured I’ve done everything else on my own, why not try the seats?

Headers installed in their permanent home and I found a nice cozy spot for my starter solenoid..... I made a bracket attached to a bolt and utilized an existing hole....
Exhaust, floors, wiring and windows and I’m there! Aside from fluids and some other extraneous things....I’m so close I can taste it!!! Thanks for hangin’ with me everyone!

Just mentioning this so that if it comes up later, I can say "told ya".
The resistor mounted right next to the coil is going to get HOT, and under dash won't get as much airflow as under hood. Hope it's fine, but if it has ignition issues when hot, watch out for this.

Also, you may want to start it up on just the center carb to begin, unless the trio has been set up on a running engine. One less adjustment to deal with during initial fire up.

Keep up the quality work and posting!

I need to get some exhaust hangers and weld the straight pipe up....I’m sure I can have the L/S done tomorrow evening....
    Then on to the floor!
