Never built or particularly wanted a Bucket myself, they look like strait-line fun and I've always thought of them as steet-legal dragsters.

I have a neighbor who has a 32? Austin Bantam roadster all steel body he might part with in a trade.
Obviously not a T, but I wonder what the reaction would be here to my thoughts on building it.
I've been offered a hot Lotus 907 OHC with twin Webers and a five speed pretty cheap.
I have a junk MGB with wire wheels. I like track T noses and find the original Austin nose dull.
    I have welders.
These could be combined, Austin were an English brand before they began making them here.
So Lotus engine and trans in an Austin body with wire wheels and Track T or cut down 34 grill?
Probably not traditional enough for this crowd but I like for my own cars to corner.

  5. If I had it, it would be cleaned, polished, re-chromed, replaced, rebuilt, and repainted. If it really is an Andy's Instant T I don't think he'd appreciate it looking like shit. I tend to restore back to the fresh built state. Before somebody had the chance to use, abuse or fuck it up.

Chrome shop has been found, looks like plan is to get rid of all rust.
Chrome front axle and trailing arms first.
Paint will hopefully polish up and I am going to look closely for a signature on the Pinstripe job.

Milestone, the T moved again under its own power.
With chrome having become crazy expensive Brian is using a lot of "Chrome" powder paint.
Looks more like polished aluminum to me but he is happy with it.
Not everything has been done, he is determined to have it at HAN so some things are being delayed.
Good to have it running again and on fresh tires.
327 engine seems a little lazy to me at 8º advance (No vacuum) so I guess we will bump it up a bit.
Setting up front suspension is being a pain as there just do not seem to be any good points to pick up caster on the tube axle.
Tomorrow we get to rebuild the sticking rear brakes.
Now that it can move around I should be able to get a pic or two.

Neat find. Contact Brizio, maybe he can verify if it was one of their builds and perhaps some history to go with it...

Do what you want, it's your car. If it was mine, I would restore it
to its former glory. I'm a restoration kind of guy, like to bring things
back as it was just built.

Give everything a polish and maybe replate a few choice parts then drive the hell out of it…:)

Got the license plate holder apart to access the CA plate.
    Oldest sticker is 1975.
The really rusty parts are getting "Chrome" powder paint but despite some flaws the original paint and pin striping are being kept.
Original wheels are also being retained.
So it's "Patina" where practical and replace/update where necessary.
Maybe the next owner will have the deep pockets to redo the chrome bits, if we are even allowed to drive ICE cars by then.

Unless it was absolutely necessary because of legal reasons, I would remove the fenders from that car before I removed it from the trailer.

Car has been off the trailer for about a year now.

Today I refurbished the rear brakes, then found the MC to be seized up.
It appears to be from a 38 Chevy?, two bolts attach it at the bottom and the pedal mount is integral to the MC.
The bigger problem is that it is a single circuit MC and the car has no E-Brake at all.
Looking for a fairly easy means to upgrade to a dual circuit MC.
The mount for this MC may be the most substantial assembly on the entire car, very beefy and even integrated into the trans mount.
I can see why this was chosen, compact and the integral pedal keeps it simple.
Not much room under the floor and the integral pedal mount may be hard to replicate?
Suggestions very welcome, needs to be ready well before HAN.
Plan for the winter includes converting the rear brakes to Disc, so an MC that will support that is the preferred choice.

as light as that car is disc on the rear is overkill and may actually cause more trouble than it is worth Tom

Clean it and drive it. That big rear window is unique, should help trace the cars history.
