Found this in a farmer's "line up" of old farm fleet. Flathead 6.

Very likely that is OEM stainless. Also likely an option, some version of ‘Deluxe’ trim.

I was told it was not for sale.....it was his father's first truck. He was planning on a restoration, which didnt look like it would ever happen based on the vast number of other vehicles there, but who am I to judge.

It is most definatly stainless, and really made the truck stand out.

  7. Look at that , Not even a WHATSSIT thread and it’s still a dodge ! Lol

    that stainless trim is neat.

to bad it’s gonna get restored “ someday “ looks like it’s nestled into the ground pretty good with no indication of moving .

The grille stainless is for a 40-47 Dodge (a 39 was the 1st year for the series, but the 39 grille horizontal bars were at an angle). It has recently been repoped, I think its offered in the $300 price range. Lots of stuff available for this era Dodge trucks, the cab was used on military trucks up through 1968.

  12. First non-tractor vehicle that I drove... at 13 I thought I was hot stuff when dad told me to take the '47 back to the barn to pick up some tools.
