I just licensed my convertible for the summer, it didn't make it onto the road last year because of reasons. Just out cruisin yesterday... Things don't get any better than that, unless maybe it's in the Model A
That is correct. Although I never saw a 350HP one until '60. it was probably a late '59 addition. 2 of my friends had 335's in '60 cars. One friend had the police optioned solid lifter 315HP in his '58 Impala but it was limited to the 3 on the tree trans.
Corvairs were more popular than you think. Have you ever noticed how many Studebakers there are in the background of the photographs? Sometimes several in one shot and most of the time they aren't even the subject of the photograph.
I had a 1961 Corvair panel van when I was 19 back in 1973. I got it for free. It would only go in reverse. I went to the library and read about an adjustment screw on the transmission. I adjusted to spec and changed fluid and a filter. That did it and away I went. The good old days!
