    Hi,
I bought a mild customised 34 Chevy Roadster. Most of the work was done in the 50s. At least this what I was told (makes a good story too) and this is what most of the parts tell.
I have a hard time identifying the steering column with shifter. It looks a bit younger than the late 30s Chevy, but different than the later Chevys (they have a screwed little bracket to hold the upper shifter, while mine has a full collar). Probably some other GM cousins? I looked at Pontiac, but they look like Chevy too.
It‘s linked to a 1950 GMC 270 with trans. Works flawless.

    Any help is welcome.

Looks like late 30s Chevy. Here’s a picture of a 39 I pulled off the internet

No worries, glad I could help. Do you have any pics of the whole car?

Here a few pics of the whole car. As said it’s mild custom from the mid 50s. A little pinstriping, shaved door handles heat pleated interior. 1950 GMC with dual zenith carbs over Nicson intake. It’s funny that it has some resemblance with Dick Bertoluccis current 1933 Chevy Roadster (yellow/red combination). Although mine looks like a faded early cousin.
