Outstanding coverage thanks for posting. As a young boy I remember how popular those round Lincoln tail lights were on 46-48 Fords. Prolly one of the things that spoke to me and fueled my interest in “cool” cars as a 6or 7 year old. Still like me a nice “mild” custom.

Thanks for posting. Does anyone know who won the "BIG" award for custom?

I think it was the other way around Dave Wolk’s Merc won best custom of the event and the light green one was best mercury???

Great event coverage. Thank you for sharing your pictures. This was my favorite new Kustom that I hadn't seen before.

GREAT thread. Thanks for all the shots, lots of inspiration.

And now I'm happier than ever over my choice to go with a Pontiac. Not a very common car.

It was a great show and it was great to finally meet some of you guys. I was actually blown away and honored to have the Legendary Chuck Miller pick my 1951 Merc for his choice award this year! It was a weekend I’ll never forget! DFD08741-F067-4E4C-BB4F-DCD3E960376C.jpeg B7F3CF43-BBFE-4ED7-8127-5EAAFED946EC.jpeg

Hey Mick, wish I would have known you guys were leaving for home so quick, I surely would have stood and talked to you for much longer than I did, sorry man

Not a problem I was glad that we had a chance to visit.

Mentally I had a list of guys I wanted to make sure to see, most of them I got to visit with. I was sick that we were not able to drive up Thursday morning. We really missed the hotel parking lot.

When I go to car shows its not usually to see the cars but to visit. This why I go to Salina so early to have the time that I need to visit with kustom family. I knew this weekend would be a blurr, because CCR would have a lot of Kustoms that I would want to check out. We planned to stay another hour or two but the heat was just to miserable to stay any longer.

Really want to sit down and visit with you someday about a lot of Kustom topics. Maybe next year....

Love this picture of Dr. Dave and I. Lol! .... The hats look goofy but man they are a heat saver......

Mick, haven't had time to get the card out of my camera to post pics, but maybe tonight I'll get "the tres amigos" up.

  25. What a great show! Didn't get to spend as much time there as I usually do and didn't get to bring a car (Chevy has a new motor and wasn't dialed in yet enough to make a 2000 mile round trip and the Merc wasn't quite up to the task either even though it's doing fine around town everyday). Good to see everyone and even got to put a few more faces with names, but didn't catch everyone. Incentive to make it back again next year!

This year didn't disappoint, the quality of the customs was better than ever. The heat did make it hard to enjoy at times, I barely took any pictures. Mick, glad I finally got to put a face with a name. Mark, we passed at some point, but you looked like you were on a mission.
Next year, we need to get a group and take over the lounge in the hotel and just have a large custom roundtable session.

I was glad that I ran into you as soon as we got to the show. Always enjoy the visit. Thanks for taking pictures looking forward to seeing them.

You were on the list of guys I wanted to meet. I see your Chevy every time that I'm there so it was time to run ya down. Love your 60 Looking forward to the next time. Great idea all of us getting together and visit. Great place to have a Kustom Konference. We need to make that happen.

This looks like a really good show. As a custom car guy, I feel like this is one I'll have to make it to at some point.
