I’m just starting to do research. Just got to mount my top on today. Going to chop it later on. Like to know basically what does it entail How do you determine the end results
Posted a pic of what I have and the look I’m after. It’s a Hambers car and I love it.

Any pics of what you’ve done would be appreciated. Txs

  2. Have you cut the posts already? Looks like you haven’t.
Do you have the seat that you’re going to use?
If so, have you measured head room from your melon to the middle bow?
Have you set in one as severely chopped as your visioned roadster?
I can tell you how to do it, but you need a few parameters first.
FWIW, I did mine 3”, it was raked forward and had 1” of headroom, and it folded.

Yup. . Hope your doing well. Haven’t got a wood tack strip by chance ?

  6. If you fit in your coupe, which is bitchin’, the roadster height won’t be an issue.
Just a smaller cockpit with less leg room.
I would start with the posts. Keep in mind that as you shorten the posts they start to look disproportionate to the stanchions (IMHO).
Give me a shout when you get going on it.
There are several threads with the info in them to get you started.
