    I don't know why not, but will you have firewall clearance for the pump? Is it just the outer stop that is hitting? maybe it could be shorter? or flopped and run the heim joint on the outside and the other closer to the carb? lets see all the carbs and linkage

    It appears that that particular linkage was designed to be run without a mechanical pump. Stromberg 3 x 2 linkage.jpg

    so, why not move the outer linkage that currently goes to the back carb to the front one, I think that will do the same thing. that is assuming that it is the secondary linkage that hits the pump?

    Could you run the linkage to the front carb instead of the rear?

    It looks like you have several options;
    1. Move the secondary linkage to the front carb - easiest and looks right
    2. Rotate the fuel pump mount - it looks like you have room but it may look odd
    3. Cut the flange off the bottom of the tower, rotate where you like it and weld it back on.
    Nice car you're building......

    Not sure how much travel you are lacking but you could swap that nicely machined (tapered) end stop for a much shorter one and cut off the extra rod length.

    I think that may work.

    I had a similar problem where the linkage rod was hitting the distributor. You don't really need the rearmost fitting on the rod. Remove it and cut the rod so that it will be long enough to go through the slide fitting but short enough not to hit the fuel pump.

    Well there you go, this was an easy fix. Just put the rod to the other side. Gonna work out good.
