    Not sure where.

  6. My sister-in-law had a station wagon just like that. The same color green, too. 6 Cylinder Power-glide. It had trouble getting out of it's own way. Very scary to drive in highway traffic.

Back axle seems to have moved forward a few inches, maybe somebody installed one from a shorter wheelbase car (I think they were torque-tube drives) or maybe somebody started an AWB project?

Spotted this Chevy a few days ago in a small ranch town in eastern Oregon. It's in the boneyard of their local history museum.

Some kind of seeder, perhaps (???), with a boom made from a tree trunk.

Note the offset rear wheels (both sides), presumably for oscillating action.

Thats really what it looks like. From a time where people didn't want to sue everyone for any reason. No way that would ever fly in today's world.

  20. There were two ranch wagons that had a high reserve and no bids. It was on-line with a pre-view day. 20210606_133301.jpg

Pulled these out yesterday. The 37 Ford Dump truck seized up in the Blizzard of 78 an was parked were I dragged it from . I remember my dad putting a rope loop around the steering wheel to the door ,jumping out and letting it clunk across the hay field in 1st gear .My brothers an I would drag bales to him on the back . In the winter, he would drive it on the ice to see if it was SAFE for us kids !

  26. Yup, that's a Victory 6- the body actually slides down over the chassis to help strengthen it, since it's made lighter gauge metal than other cars, used to keep weight down (the Victory 6 used an all steel Budd body).

  27. The old guy does have a 1957 Ranchero that's said to be a Barris custom - it has the emblem's on the side and a really nicely striped chrome dash - still running a Y-block with 3x2's and other niceties. I owe him a call back so I'll ask about the Buick. Just one of the drivers sold - a 1957 4 door and none of the others. Reserve was pretty high all most - the 4 door was $7500 but was nice - the 57 Barris Ranchero had an opening bid of $25,000 and was a nice driver. He had Edsel's - mostly a 57-59 FoMoCo guy....
