Stamped Script Valve Covers...Show 'em to me..

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Left Turn, Dec 28, 2009.

  1. FORDLastVersion 1.JPG Please don't get me started I've got about 100 sets of Ford FE VC's. About half are stamped of all thedifferent versions and half are cast aluminum. The Lincoln VC's are about 1956 Y-Block and i'll cut and weld them to the FE base so they will be on my 1948 Lincoln with a 390 FE.

  7. Had a mint '67 Mercury Monterey many years ago (390 FE) and I swore it had the Mercury script AND the Mercury winged head on the valve covers. Was going to save them but the guy buying the car said that was a deal breaker.

I love script valve covers! Especially that last one, 2ndchance!
And the price of the SBC covers have gone way up. Just a couple of years ago you could get them for $5-10 each. Now online they are $100 for crappy ones.

Does anyone have pictures of BobK's valve cover collection? He had an incredible shop wall filled up with nothing but script/lettered valve covers. I actually started a collection after seeing his. I don't have them anywhere I can get pictures yet unfortunately.
