Ok round two today on getting the new windshield buttoned down. @&$”£€%#?$”:(
How the crap did they get to the back A pillar to body studs to put the nuts on, on the assembly line for craps sake. I gave up again today and next weekend is the Tri-State swap meet in Denver, I hate cussing so much on Sunday it just ain’t right. I still have to do the drivers side and fight around the emergency brake and the hood release.

  3. Covered the header panel and installed the visors on my coupe. Probably should have switched out the windshield first; but what is the fun in not doing stuff twice.

The manifold came in for my blower, so I stacked it all up.

I will probably start a long list of complaints from the trad-police if I talk about it.

The transmission might be from 1966 but it would've been designed in 1965 so it fits.

It was designed between 1962 and 1963, alongside the TH400 and ST400, which made the scene in 1964.

This is a TH425, and debuted in 1966 in the new Olds Toronado, albeit as a FWD transaxle, facing the other way.

It shares almost all of the same parts inside as a TH400. All the one-way stuff is just backwards.

I have the fixed-pitch (the broken case being used for the mock-up) and a variable-pitch torque converter units.

I agree, I think a separate tech thread on this would be great.

Changing the lube in the rear end after the first 600 miles on the car. Don’t beat me up for having the rear on jack stands and the front on dollies. Giddyup.

I welded swivel casters to my jack stands. Much easier to roll the car around when it is on the stands.

I took the lazy way out the first round and mounted the tank on top of the frame. that wasn't the look I was after so I re-did that and in the process had to notch the frame. Then It needed to be boxed, well are you just going to do one side ? But in the end it looks much better. studebaker build 009.JPG studebaker build 001.JPG STUDEBAKER BUILD 005.JPG STUDEBAKER BUILD 006.JPG

  27. Decided to start trying to close off the trunk on my coupe. I had collected some package shelf brackets off a derelict 5W and 5W front cross piece from a street rod shop. Made some mounts off the drip tray as I neglected to weld some when I made the tray and cut down the 5W shelf brackets to a fit the 3W. Followed up with a plywood shelf, the 5W front board, and some similar to stock wood under braces. All fit pretty good. Next need to get some ABS sheet for the inner panels. Also added the tack strip around the doors since the seat was out. Wish I had some windlace to add when I was in there. Next time I guess.

  28. Posted on my build thread, but i got the seat back in, carpet, made a pleated cover for the transmission tunnel, and cut out a panel for the tailgate and carpeted it :D 20210614_155313.jpg 20210614_154820.jpg
