The passenger car and the pickup share the same drivetrain and radiator. The "truck" is a different animal all together.

  2. I do know that, but from what I can tell, the truck radiator is simply taller than the car/pickup radiator by maybe 4". I'm curious if it will fit in place of the car/pickup radiator without significant changes to the fenders or hitting the hood.

My pickup is a completely disassembled basket case right now, so I have nothing to measure against.

I would measure the clearance of the hood for you bit I no longer have the truck. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

My truck has a larger than stock radiator - but I am not sure what it is out of. It measures 28" high.
The lower chin pan has been extended a couple of inches by a previous owner so that the upper radiator hoses align. The lowers are copper pipe made to reach the lower radiator ports.

The radiator does not stick up too far because of the shape of the hood above it. The hood angles in quite sharply, there is not much room for anything taller than the stock rad.

Craig, it's good to see you are still working on that truck. I recently brought some parts home from the paint shop. Looks like I will be assembling mine this Winter. Love pickups with side boards! IMG_7107.JPG IMG_7110.JPG IMG_7113.JPG IMG_7115.JPG IMG_7116.JPG

bought my 40 long time ago because it was a high dollar build a western truck all of its life and a great driver. never got excited about the new school flames.when I bought it I took the chrome wheels off and put on old school torque thrust and changed valve covers an air cleaner etc. anyway just had the front fenders and hood painted to ditch the flames and going with red steelies 47 merc hubcaps and big whites next. before and after pictures. the purple coupe shows well with red steelies and big whites 00W0W_ecbZCfYMzLc_1200x900fgrty.jpg Resized952019050895143451955091.jpg thumbnail_Resized95202006099514524095853.jpg thumbnail_Resized_Resized_20210601_150947.jpg thumbnail_Resized_Resized_20210601_151000.jpg 50519245_10215972153650298_9068523381908832256_n.jpg . the purple coupe shows well with red steelies and big whites
