Projects Tudors!!!

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by McTavish77, Apr 19, 2021.

  1. Ford called Falcons Tudors and Fordors. I searched '1951 Ford Tudor' and got a lot of results. But yeah, I consider the squared-off Ford sedans Tudors.

There are a lot of results I got by Google that seem more opinion than fact. There's a few threads on the barn about this, and I still don't have any idea what the actual year's of production the Ford Corp considered their products tudors... If anyone has a hard and fast number of the years, I'd be curious to know it.

  8. Thanks Rant, I kind of wish id have kept it, if it were a 3 window or roadster it would still be in my garage. Mitch

Greg, Wow! Really like the sedan. You surely know how to get "the look". Stance is perfect.

My never ending nightmare pile of Tudor I’ve started. Although in this state if you take a closer look it may qualify as a Sedan Delivery.

My 02c worth , tudors stopped in 34 , then became 2 door sedans in correct terminology. But its your ride so I guess you can call it what you wish , even if it ain’t correct in my eyes. I simply love all the cars @Runnin shine posted absolutely great , even if he started with a 39 2 door sedan ?? Feel free to correct me.

34 main body. But much more 32 parts like cowl, firewall, dash, hood tins, grill shell, radiator, frame, lower, body patch panels, and on and on.
    Thanks for the liking, Wyatt

Googled some ads and it would seem the term goes way beyond what I thought as well. So any two door sedan is a Tudor, of any year? I'm not interested in what I think, or what anyone else thinks. I'm interested in facts, when did the Tudor name stop? When they stopped making 2 door sedans it seems? Interesting...

And so my shoebox is NOT a Tudor. Only sedans....

nice car, - please don’t be offended - imagine how much nicer it would be with a black grille ( insert, not surround ).
I speak from experience, the black grille will match the roof fabric, etc.
too much going on as is.

When I purchased the sedan, it was a rolling project with that orange insert. When I asked about it,the owner stated that his uncle had several Hot Rods in the 60's and he (uncle) ran the orange insert on a deuce roadster. From that point on I knew I would keep the insert orange.
Thanks for looking at my sedan.
