  5. Great Uncle Don Weyl (In Car) crewed Sam Craft on this A.A.A. Big Car. Sam was from Denver NY and barn stormed the East Coast and Mid-West. We think it's a Ford Model B with overhead conversion

  22. My dad was always bringing home something to resale. He brought this 55 truck home about 1972 or 73 and my brother who was driving a Stude Lark snapped it up. It was our first engine swap/upgrade from the 6 he wore out to a 283. Not much has changed since and it still runs that same 283 with a 3sp from a 1966 fully sycro'd.

Here's all his grandkids for a picture op -most will go the sports route but there's always hope they'll hang out with their great uncle ! I'll have to get my scanner ink so I can show it in color. Jimmie's 55 with great kids 2.jpg

My grandpa’s work truck he worked for the BO railroad you can almost see the logo on the door. Never got to know him as he passed when I was young. As my dad tells it he was working on a rail switch gear one rainy night and was hit by a train.
Dad said he’s always thought it was a heart attack that happened first. Grandpa had a colorful life making a lot of moonshine during the depression to survive. I wish I could have got to know him 5ECDC906-8A49-43DD-A534-5C6EF2FA38A6.jpeg

  28. My late father & his 1st car, think he started working on it when he was 14, a 1941 Ford Convertible, that had a non running flathead, shot clutch & no front sheetmetal, he made 1947 front sheetmetal fit, got the distributor(s) repaired & set up at a local shop & he rebuilt the pressure plate by using springs from a different flathead pressure plate (that was larger diameter & wouldn't fit, by using a jack & post against the rafters of a shed to unload the pressure plate) - my Dad said the first time he heard it fire he jumped out of the Car and ran around the house hollering, then jumped back in & it actually started & idled, his eyes sparkled when he shared that story.. The first picture is of my grandmothers 38 Chevy, she traded it for a 53 Chevy demonstrator in 1954. the second is of my dad's only son:) I sold that car to a friend, and then lost track of it twenty years ago, I stumbled over it last year, about five miles from where I live. Dad said that 40 Ford had too much power for the chassis:) the next is me in the early 60's and the last is my parents wedding day, their 38 Ford is in the background. Dad sorta went downhill after the 40 Ford and bought new 49 and 50 Nashes but returned to sanity and bought Dodges the rest of his life:) 38 Chev Grandma_NEW.jpg 1940 Ford.jpg Marv 63.jpg wedding 1940.jpg
