I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking for another car. I’m the last one who needs another car, but I’m always looking for deals. My family and I have been driving the wheels off my 29A Tudor but we are out growing it for over night or long haul trips. I thought a 39 or 40 Tudor would be a great replacement. Then I saw this ‘40 deluxe more door for sale locally, and thought I should at least go check it out. Admittedly, I’ve never been a fan of anything with 4 doors. But , I started to like this old car. It wasn’t running at the moment , but it had recently. And I could tell I could trust the great old guy who owned it, but I walked away. A week and a few days passed and I couldn’t get the old ford out of my head. I started looking at pictures of hotrodded 4 door 39/40’s and began to think I could make this work with the right stance and wheels. So, I made a deal on this 60k mile, all original 1940 ford with mostly original paint and original interior. The family I bought her from was the 2nd owner and had her for a few years. She became part of the family and named her Henrietta. They were absolutely great to meet and they have future visitation rights. Enough words , time for pictures. More of this story to come, But she is already running again.
ya done good - great that you do not have any other projects that might limit your focus on your new toy
Dang that's sweet - now you just need to get rid of all those rusting hulks in the shop......that 40 might go Christine on the others !
I would have jumped on that Ford! You were really lucky it was still available after a few days Looks terrific.
Dam nice car , I don't need another car myself but if a 40 came along as nice as yours I be after it asap
Great start for a project even if it's a too-many door! I don't really like them but what do you think I own?
Nice lookin' sedan. But that thing sure fills up your shop. I could help you make some room in there by bringing that red deuce down here and parking it next to my yellow one!
My old Cloud Mist Grey sedan on it's way to a new caretaker. I really liked that Fordor. Enjoy yours.
That’s funny, I told him and his friends that last night. He’s 12 now and thought that was a cool idea, will see if that changes in 4 years.
Cool car. Thats the car I learned to drive in back in the 60s. My brother still has it. Love those fordys !
