Went to pick up a tunnel ram, and ended up making a new friend with a lot of very cool stuff. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I need that like I need another hole in the head ... speaking of which, no one else see's the bullet hole in the windshield?
I spy an old coupe in the garage...there seems to be some history on the side window of that 55 too...and it looks pretty solid to boot...
He’s completely deaf, but can read lips. He showed me around his place, and he has mostly HAMB friendly goodies there. That ‘55 has some racing history, stickers from the mid 60’s from various tracks.
I worked with a Fella that couldn't speak or hear...he was a cool guy to work with...a 1st for me and like this fella, damn good at reading lips...and when that didn't work pen and paper... Are any of the vehicles and other goodies for sale...a plethora of Hambers may be interested...if you have gotten all your interested in... Obviously respecting privacy is to be considered but was this more or less a Counts type visit...see and knock or advertised? Thanks for responding @J_J2 Is that your prize sitting on the driveway along side the 55...angled 4x2...that's gotta make throttle linkage a bit more interesting...
He had the TR advertised on Craigslist. That was all he had for sale, he’s working on several cars and building a 1950’s style shop in his backyard with signs and all. Really neat place. And yes, that was the prize on the driveway lol. Enderle makes linkage for it thank goodness.
FYI; Get that plastic off that car next to it, if you value it. Plastic makes condensation, that makes surface rust, better off with NO COVER, than using plastic tarp....
I did a frame off on a 1962 Corvette. My helper was legally blind He was a great help. when it came to rewire the car he would ask what color the wire was and he would guide it close to the place it was to go and ask me to plug it in.
Pretty cool that a guy that is deaf builds cars. I couldn't imagine what it would be like not being able to hear what is going on with my car. Quite often I depend on being able to hear if "sounds right" to know if I have fixed a problem or not.
