    Hello,

My wife and I were running errands and came across this nice looking 1932 Ford Flatbed Truck sitting near a shop that we knew about, but was a mystery to all those involved. The shop does not have any advertising, shop name on a plaque on the outside, or actually a painted name on the entrance door or garage doors.

In knowing others that have told stories about the place, it is a custom garage and depository for cool, “one of a kind” race cars and fast street cars, foreign and domestic. No, it is not a museum or place where visitors come to see unusual cars. It is/was a mysterious place. But, a rumor or two, does persist about what is inside that building.

Driving by, the flatbed 1932 Ford truck was parked nearby and with the daily traffic of big trucks in and around the area, fast photos had to be taken, so as not to get run over or a loud air horn would beep. We had seen the 32 Ford truck in and around the So Cal area near the DP Harbor, but being a daily driver, it has been seen all over our coastal roads. Sorry, no full side photographs as the big trucks were coming from both sides of the street.

The truck had some neat finishing touches and we have always seen the truck bed empty, without the stake bed sides, cruising around our area of the county. It does get around the areas.

The one neat thing was the inclusion of the color contrasting with the slick Moon Discs. It just looked cool and even being an upright 32 at the front grille plus squarish cab area, it looked fast.

Reminds me of a place I came across by chance some years ago. Nondescript building, but the place did a lot of service and restoration work on old touring cars and various European makes. Just a fantastic place to see!

FoMoCo Freighter, this wildly customized 1937 Ford was featured prominently in the August 1962 issue of Rod and Custom magazine.

Finishing up a 49 Stude with 4"wider rear fenders to handle big rubber and the new "Belly Button" Chevy engine that is not Hamb friendly (yet).
