I feel your pain, I sold my 62 when I moved back to NY. It was a 9 year build and I had to sell it to meet my obligations of buying the house and car payments. I drove it one mile for a test drive for the buyer.
First picture when I got it second picture with the new owner.

^^ A beautiful car and a classic early '50s design, but boy, I despise those wires.

One of my oldest friends Darrin. We have been running around since High School. We went to a cruise night in Ooltewah Tennessee Monday evening. A7431ABB-BC12-496D-86A5-F5CEE16E5B03.jpeg

Of course I dig the '63 but it's the John Greenwood BFG #49 (1969) that
grabbed my attention. I was fortunate enough to see Greenwood race
both at Road America and Sebring, back in the day in the real #48 cars,
    not
as rebuilt, restored or so called "tribute" cars. Plus, I got to see
Dickie Smothers in the #50 Greenwood car. But this thread is all about
    the pre-'66 cars.
