Event Coverage Power tour canceled

Just released today. Hot Rod magazine power tour is cancelled for june.
Summit Midwest Drags cancelled a few weeks ago.
The street in front of my house is still open. I guess I will cruise and race on that.

 

I thought the Power Tour changed the dates

HOT ROD Power Tour 2020, Presented by Chevrolet Performance and Driven by Continental, will move from June to August 23-29 due to the unprecedented circumstances and our strong desire for the continued safety and well-being of our HOT ROD family. But not to worry, your registration has been automatically transferred to the new dates. The tour will proceed with the traditional seven stops:


HOT ROD Power Tour 2020: New Dates And Venues

• August 23: Summit Motorsports Park; Norwalk, Ohio
• August 24: National Trail Raceway; Hebron, Ohio (NEW VENUE AND CITY)
• August 25: Indiana State Fairgrounds; Indianapolis, Indiana (NEW VENUE)
• August 26: WWT Raceway at Gateway; St. Louis, Missouri
• August 27: University of Illinois, State Farm Center; Champaign, Illinois
• August 28: Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds; Davenport, Iowa
• August 29: Chicagoland Speedway; Joliet, Illinois (NEW VENUE AND CITY)

 

Rescheduled. Now wondering if Drag Week will reschedule too.

If they can make PT happen with the new dates, then they can make Drag Week happen on the original dates.

I'm not counting on either.

 

The road behind my house has NO sanctioning body. Y’all just just power tour your bad selves up here! We don’t need permission from a half-defunct magazine to act like hoodlums.

 

I'll see if I can find it but I was reading the other day where the owner of Summit said he was going to open regardless. Said he had invested a ton of money into the track and had to open.

 

I heard on the news that Disney will not reopen until January 2021, don't you think they have tons of money invested???

 

Power tour is back. I'm registered. Still have lots of work to do. But I'll be there.

Yes, it misleading. This thread is about LAST years power tour.
