  7. stopped at Charlie's to hold the fenders in position, to drill for the mounting bolts. despite these really crappy fenders it is really starting to look like a truck.:) image0.jpeg image1.jpeg image2.jpeg image3.jpeg image4.jpeg

when i bolted on my fenders with help we used double sided tape to hold the fender welt in place, notching the welt as needed to bend it and trimming out for the mounting holes with a scalpel.worked out very well.c

  10. the slacker primed and painted both fenders and got one on today. he filed square holes in the bed so that he could use carriage bolts.
he skipped using any welting, he thought it wasn't necessary

Slacker has such a interesting little nifty truck to stroll about in. Thanks impart to his hardly copy able due diligence and your kindness of labor, assistance, and thought. Sprinkle in a handful of other assistantships along the way with just a pinch of the HAMBs critique and enthusiasm. Charlie has one of the most memorable builds of the past couple years.
I can just see him making all those early Saturday morning trips to the in town hardware store, coffee with old friends or to get his hair nice and tight at a historically significant barbershop.

Surprised Mark didn’t sneak in some red wheel paint while adding his turn to the progress.

  20. truck starts and runs! we had a small fuel leak, but were able to get that fixed easily. motor sounds great. the slacker got all the bed hardware in, wired the tail lights, put the steering wheel back on and finished up wiring the dome light and front driving light.
