Yep! I've done my share of filing on the coupe along with the shrink disc. Know exactly what you mean about "feeling" it..... funny.....what my left hand can't feel, my right hand picks right up on it. If I close my eyes, the imperfection becomes larger..... I know what he means about Zen, working the body, even filler is absolute therapy for me! Although the paint was a giant hurdle, I'm kinda missing the body work aspect of the build now that it's done.....Hmmm....there's always Piewagon to work on....that needs some attention..... But, I'll stick with the coupe for now...

Way too late for this project, but another way to "feel" bodywork is to have a paper towel or thin rag between your hand and the body.

Well....drop axle is in. Of course there are domino effect issues, but they are all easily remedied.... I think I’m gonna love the stance when completed. Here’s a pic of approximate stance....the ass will come down once it’s loaded with deck lid, floors, gas tank and battery......went a little backwards, but I think it’ll be worth it in the end! I'm a little slow, will you elaborate please? That picture looked like tube steel that you were making a tapered point on each end. How did you get to dropped axel? Thanks, ty

I made rear shock mounts for the rear axle tubes......need to radius them and weld them on. I picked up the drop axle a couple years ago and now I'm finally putting it in service on something.....:D[IMG]

The struggle is real! My shock mounts and steering arm came today, so tomorrow I can get this thing back on all 4’s! Playing dominos got old.....FAST! But, the drop axle is in and steering back to functional! It all better be worth it..... Thanks for checkin’ in fellas! Well, front axle done! Lower shock mounts installed etc. I need to shorten the upper mounts I made and install those....my ‘32 grill shell came, so here comes the tedious stuff....all good though and I’m getting excited!

Front came down nice....once the rear is loaded with deck lid, battery, gas tank, spare tire etc....it’ll have a nice rake! I have a set of 6.50’s to replace the 6.00’s on the front, so that’ll bring it back up a bit. Thanks for checkin’ in fellas! Got my toe board sorted out. Though I was gonna struggle a little more, but it kinda fell into place! Flanges on either side and I’ll make fillers for the left and right uppers that will all screw into place so it’ll be all removable, also have PLENTY of clearance for shift linkage.....AND, I have WAY MORE room than I thought I would! I picked up a parking brake lever for under the dash, kinda like my C10 Delivery that’ll leave even that much more space. I love when a plan comes together! Thanks for droppin’ in fellas!
