  9. I remember seeing this guy as a regular guest on a kids TV show maybe back in the early '70s.

Cleveland, Ohio, early 1970s, UHF channel 61 - when I was a kid, he was the host of the weekly Saturday night horror movies. Known as The Ghoul, his name was Ron Sweed and he just recently passed away. There are clips of him up on Youtube and his family keeps his memory alive on Facebook as well.

  12. Well then I guess that wasn't him. This was in L.A. There must have been a look-a-like. Now that I remember a little better, he was a host during during TV airings of the Little Rascal/Our Gang shorts on late afternoons on channel 52. The intro of the show had him green screened into a clip of him leading a band of the Little Rascal/Our Gang kids. I swear this guy was a dead ringer for the Ghoul but he acted more like a beatnik type hippie.

  13. I have stared at that pic countless times, and thought,"I never remembered seeing a pic of Ed Roth like that"... :p

Our Saturday morning "Undisputed King of the Cartoons" was Wee Willie Webber:

And the host of Mad Theater was "Dr. Shock":

I was born in 60, turned 13 summer of 73. Had yet to be introduced to Roth or cars as a culture but I knew who Rat Fink was and was into MAD magazines and off the wall, zany schitt like my friend The Ghoul. Cars would come a few years later, although as a kid I was really good at ID'ing cars by their taillights. Body styling was something I picked up on at a really early age.

  22. Just about guarantee you that '38? Dodge was driven to where it's sitting. Looks like a solid, buildable car
