I think Moriarty's house is better than Toys R Us. All that stuff is awesome, but the 61 just slays me.

    Hello,

It does not matter how many times I see this photo in any magazine or online, it just gives off the feeling of a real hot rod. It may not agree in style or for those fenderless roadster people, but to So Cal hot rod people, it is an excellent choice for a hot rod.

When we were in our photo journalist days, we knew Model A coupes, sedans and trucks were rather cool. But, when we saw this sedan delivery, it immediately went to the top of the list for our choices to designate it as a hot rod. Despite our not liking chopped hot rods, who could argue with such a beauty and build. Lee Bright and family had a long history in early hot rod builds. Their association with the San Diego Prowlers Car Club is documented and its vast history is revered in So Cal circles.

If my wife likes a hot rod, it is right on target. At the time of the photo, she would have driven in Lee Bright’s chopped sedan delivery, even though she does not like feeling squashed when sitting in a car of any kind. Our 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery 327 model was for her, a good hot rod for us and she drove it almost weekly by herself. It was not chopped, although the 40s sedan deliveries look like they are chopped.
