Here's a few pics of the engine in the 38 Plymouth coupe I had. I bought the car finished from whitestang here on the HAMB so he gets all the credit for the build.

As far as I know my 230 Dodge is stock other than a rebuild at on time. It was bored making it 236 c.u.. last fall I scored an Edmunds finned aluminum head and it really woke the old inliner up. 3AD22DF3-0BA5-4123-8D25-A20B28132E86.jpeg 67131F2B-B980-4EA7-9F65-5ACA11DB0298.jpeg

I've been planning this build for about 10 years. Finally getting started on the expensive stuff. Anyway, full custom Jag sedan (not like Marcy's full custom E-type). There are literally books written about these engines, but the Cliff's Notes version is that they come in 2.4, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.2 liters. All very similar, but the 3.8 & 4.2 are best. 3.8 revs faster, 4.2 has more torque. Pre-70s and post-80s are better blocks, but with some differences and nuances in there. Here's a polished example of the same engine. It should put out around 300+hp once installed... but I have to get it unstuck first... IMG_7233.jpg

God Bless Eddie Edmunds, he made something for everyone especially for inlines.

When have they NOT? Both images are hot 1960s HAMB-era engines. There's nothing in the HAMB rules about European cars or engines, only that they be vintage and built in a traditional style. If you're still not convinced, look at all the Euro customs built by Winfield, Jeffries, Watson, Barris, Von Dutch, etc... or all the Fiat, Anglia, Thames, Holden and even Citroen builds on the HAMB. There was a lot more to traditional hot rods and customs than Chevy, Ford and Mopar.

I'm currently building a stroker 261 for a blower, I'd like to pick your brain on compression ratio and what pressures were you making with your blower setup..could you describe your builds?

If anyone has a line on a clean set of second hand Fenton or Willaims cast manifolds for the 216/235/261 they're looking to sell I am in need for my beater '53 project.

I haven't got my 235 plopped back into it's home yet and it won't be hot but I'll snap a couple pics when the time comes.
