  1. A ‘57 Chevrolet Hemi gasser you say? Sounds like you’re going to have buckets of fun.

Thanks Mike, well my chassis guy hasn't seen it in about a year so hopefully it meets his crazy high standards

Getting there, brace welded up, ran out of abrasives to clean up tight corners but so far I'm happy with results, stiffened hood significantly. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Finished the top edge of brace, got all tight corners blended. Next to do is gap the front now that it's braced solidly[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Nice, hope the hood is down most of the time a fire out the pipes. :)

  12. I thought about you the other day when my buddy had his 57 back to the chassis shop, it'll be blown too after he sorts it out with the injected motor.

Spent weekend doing detail work under front end, welded up un needed holes, welded up any seams to try and clean it up more. Surprised it stiffened up front even more [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Getting close on dialing in the gaps, it's also more consistent in opening and closing and not deviating position[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Well crazier things have happened Im sure but the 57 is going to a new home! I did some horse trading of sorts. Dave Verschave that owned the 55 Chevy Krate is new owner. We are now putting the hemi and lenco in a 1940 steel Willys Coupe! Ill start a build thread soon
