I thought I might throw up a few shots from the car show at the VFW in West Point, Ca today. Mods Note: I tried to shoot so that offensive wheels don't show but a few slipped by. The first ones are at Frank's Restaurant in Moke Hill for breakfast.... Something peeking out of the hood of the deuce tudor.
The hot rods.... The two yellow pickups were home built by the same guy between 2017 and 2020, he did everything. He's 76 and he's building a '26 pickup now.
and some Chevys..... Had to do a double take, the red '56 210 looks like mine - now I know how it would look with 5 spokes.
The 32 with the Ardun...is that electronically fuel injected ? Looks like a fuel rail between the rocker cover and the carburetors. Mike
"The 32 with the Ardun...is that electronically fuel injected? Looks like a fuel rail between the rocker cover and the carburetors." I was wondering how the painted carbs stayed so nice.
Nice cross section of hot rods. Really enjoyed the pics. Cant wait to get my ride to a show this summer. Your coupe looks great
I don’t think pictures of flathead engines with ac compressors should be allowed on this board. How non-traditional (hot rods) can you get.
Wondered why I saw so many rods at Frank's all at one time. Found out the run was hosted by the club that me and a few pals started back in '63. Too bad I don't have a car anymore.
You’re probably right but they’ve gotten so common that I almost don’t notice as long as the rest of the car is interesting. As for the carbs on the Ardun , they appeared to be the real deal I didn’t see any wires or injectors. If those weren’t 97s he did an amazing job of camouflage. The “fuel rail” you see was part of the water system. And, it looks like it’s driven, just well maintained. The Chevy six next to it had three Demon 97 injection/carbs. You could see about four wires coming out of the front under the bowl. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
