Has anyone ever tried this setup on their true blower motor? https://www.bigalstoybox.com/product/blower-adapter-plate/ I'm wondering if it turns the motor into a totally inefficient turd at bottom end compared to a normal intake.
Nope, but, That dose not have a blowback valve*/backfire,so would have too make one,as for flow in mild engine, blower just pushs passed every thing.
I think you have the idea upside down....???? This part goes onto a blower manifold, in place of the blower. Never tried one, I put a normal intake on when removing the blower. That part seems rather silly to me. But what do I know.
Keep in mind that most blower motors are only 7.5 to 8.0 compression, so if you went to a carb setup, they definitely would be doggy....
What Jim said. What a waste of money not to mention, a blown engine is built to operate with a blower, not normally aspirated.
I made one so that I can fire up and run the engine and get the timing set right without boost. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
You will be surprised what works and what does not !! Each engine combo is different, the only way you will know is to Dyno, TEST &TEST!!! most will build a engine Put on a Dyno & tune for those parts used , If yr Serious ( About yr thinking )what works , you will have a shop full of parts , Test test & notes & Divorced, the Dyno is one part , then you move to Test & Test to what the power plant will be going into. & You still might end up with a combo that Not compatible.
That thing is kinda goofy, no wait, it is goofy ! A blower intake is around $450 bucks, plus the price of that contraption would be twice the price of a 2x4 intake.
It cost me 3 hours work and some scrap aluminum. I have an electronic conversion in the Mallory distributor so I have no faith that I can static time it. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
S So did ya ever get drive it with that setup ? Just curious if it would be extra rich. Thanks for the reply Thomas
