Yes, It was the real wagon wheel construction on the Studebaker wheelbarrow that made the difference. if you could find one of those original wheels you could trade if for any other Studebaker you want.
The cool thing is that when John went home the company grew and by the time it closed they had plans for building airplanes. Wagons to planes in one lifetime!

53 with a 327/PG. 50 pickup with a thumpin’ 454/TH400. The’53 is parked in front of Performance Unlimited in Culver City. Remember when there were speed shops to hang out at?

 

Those are steel, but the '57 was fiberglass as I recall...

Here are some rougher ones who's time has come to a end. They are headed to the crusher in the next week or so. I did get some N.O.S. metal and some used out of a trailer that has been there for decades.
