This Mercury Caliente has the era nailed perfectly! This is how most hot cars looked back in the sixties and seventies. Not to many people had enough dough to have a strong, high performance drivetrain and a nice paint job..

In my book, the height is right on the mark. I always liked the front to be slightly higher..

I preferred the Sparkler version. It came with a chrome rim with a rough finished center section..

Agree with the look & the stance but it's a Caliente, not a Cyclone. Close call ;)

Thanks Joe, I straightened it out.. I thought the tail lights looked like Cyclone tail lights..

A buddy had one of these. It was Butter Nut Yellow with black interior, 390 four speed.

All '65 Comet models shared the same taillights. I drove a '65 Cyclone many years ago. Anyway, back to the Cragars ;)

I love mine, it was an easy choice! Cragar SS on my Coupe, Cragar Eliminator on my truck. 2014-07-09_19-23-17_438.jpeg 20200422_101239.jpeg

My '55 in the corkscrew at Laguna Seca.
15x6" in front. 15x8" in back with the fender lips folded in a bit.
I think Cragar SS's look best on mid '50's to mid '60's cars.

  24. Oh yeah! Had to have Cragar SS's in the late 60s/early 70s. I also had them on my O/T muscle cars. 64vette1972.jpg
