I guess are cut? no bolt holes, I am not familiar, thinking someonw cut to put on another type of engine for a Hemi look? I am baffled....or made like this?
Purpose built head covers for 59AB. The notch is for the water outlet. Used to see them occasionally, hardly ever now. Honest Charley did sell them.
Thickston did. Made for flathead powered boats to keep the water off the plugs. No plug holes like the ones pictured by the OP.
Definitely purpose-made Flathead head covers. Here's a set that was on the HAMB for sale a couple years ago. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/38-48-ford-flathead-hemi-valve-covers.1178734/ They are in no way modified Mopar hemi pieces.
