I saw that. I asked about it yesterday on their facebook page and got the news. I plan on going, its usually a good time. The Aces events tend to draw a lot of nice traditional style cars, I like 'em. You taking the coupe Bob?

  18. Hope I make it in time to get a spot inside. I have never been to this place and the buildings and streets look amazing as backdrops.

It was a good day. Weather was real nice, not too hot, not too cold. Yesterday the wind icked up pretty good, but it settled down over night, so we had real good weather, and a real good turnout, almost 90 cars. I got there before 8 a.m. and there was already 30 - 40 cars there ahead of me. I ran into 3 fellow Hamber's there, @Bad Bob, @Hot Rod Ron , and @Irish Mike. Here's just the pics taken with my cel phone, I haven't gotten into those on my camera yet. This batch includes the car that ended up winning the Best of Show trophy, see if you can guess which one (it's not really that hard).

Somebody that was a prospect for the club was received as a member, got his club plaque and his black T. I wonder who that could be???? Hint: now he'll have to update his HAMB signature.... ;)

Here's the first batch of photos off my camera. I got a premium parking spot, because I offered to tow a guy in to the show. DSC_4357.JPG DSC_4358.JPG DSC_4359.JPG
As I got into my truck to line up I had to pull around the guy with the Fordoor A gasser cause he was having troubles getting it started. As I was sitting there in line the 2 guys were trying to push it into the line. I got out and asked them if they had a tow strap, they got a tie down strap and I backed up and we wrapped one end around the rear crossmember under my pickup bed, and the other end around his front axle, and I pulled him in. Most everyone else was being directed deeper into the complex, but since I was towing him in they had us just pull up into an open spot on the main drag. Cool! It was a great spot for later on when the band started playing and then when they gave out the awards. That all was directly across from my spot.

The black 32 is @Hot Rod Ron 's coupe. The car is gorgeous, inside and out, full of attention grabbing details. He drove it over from AZ for the show. It ended up winning an award for Best Home Built rod. It was parked across the street from me, and it was garnering a crowd all day.
