Hot Rods Hood latch styles?

Hello, I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but I'm a new member. I am building a 35 Plymouth coupe. I do not want to use the hood sides, only the top. How is everyone fastening this type of hood? I would like to see some examples too. Thanks.

 

I have a 32 Ford with only the stock tops. I use rubber bungy cords underneath. One in the front and one in the back, from the hinge eyelets to the other side.

 

When I run Hood tops , I do the same thing with the bungy cords. They work great & you don't
have to reinvent the wheel, simple-simple-simple.
