Event Coverage NSRA SRN SOUTH

The Street Rod Nationals South will be held April 30 — May 2, 2021 at the Chilhowee Park Expo Center, Knoxville, TN 37914.
Anyone going? I know it’s not exactly a traditional hot rod event, but should probably still be a good get together.
I live about 20 miles away and hope to go one of the days.

 

I normally drive over both days.

 

I'll be there unless there is a better event that weekend.

See ya there. Last year was my first time there, and it's such a nice place, I'm going back.

I'll be the good looking guy with the black HAMB hat. Wore the same hat last year with the same notice. Not one person claiming to be a HAMB member approached me. Must all be ashamed to be seen with someone as handsome as me????

He hides out up on the hill behind the expo building. Real Rodders don’t need to power park.

I got my registration back today, it appears the numbers are down, I registered late and my number is 490. HRP

 

Any opinions on the swap meet area? Will be my first time going and I'm just curious.

 

In the past the swap meets have been big, last year it was way off. HRP

 

I'm planning on going, bringing the Plymouth.

Small swap meet and too much late model crap for me

 

I walked past this car Friday. My best friend from IL drove down for the weekend and I said to him “this car belongs to a guy on the HAMB”. There was no one around it at the time.
We had a great day! It was good to spend some time with my friend. When I lived in IL he and I went to car shows all over IL and IN.

 

I guess they started allowing later model vehicles to help draw bigger crowds. Good Guys are doing the same. There are very few true Street Rod shows anymore — Frog Follies in Evansville, IN is one of the last ones.
(And not all Street Rodders are Gold Chainers.)

But that is a catch 22.
They allow later cars in to draw a crowd and then a lot of street rodders/hotrodders stay home

 

First time there for me. Perfect weather Fri and Sat.

 

This champagne truck was on the awards stage. And it deserved to be there. It was nice!

This was my first time at this show too. Plan on coming every year.
