    Been trying to remember what it was, not a movie. It may have been Wagon Train. He was young maybe a teenager.

    People did that for the same reason when the style changed to rolling the cuffs under.
    Bell bottom Levis might have ended both of those styles

    When we left for a 9 mo. vacation overseas in early '65, everybody wore pegged 501s, white socks & tennies. Went home on leave Christmas '65 & it's 517s & roughout boots.
    That's in S.E. Idaho - a location about 3 years behind at that time fashion-wise.

    Is it just me, those guys look awfully small, compared to the size of that "41" Ford.

    Tiny Naylors, on the corner of Sunset Blvd and La Brea Ave in Hollywood, CA. I met Tiny once, on Catalina Island, he owned a cafeteria in Avalon. Tiny weighed between 380 and 400 pounds, he was a mountain with legs. It's a real shame that so many drive in's disappeared in L.A., had they still been around during this past pandemic, they would have made a fortune. Outside dining at it's best...
