They did seem to have a lot of misfortune and from what I've read, they all were pretty good kids, except for Jackie Cooper he was always into mischief.

My Late Aunt told me that
in the mid-west back in the 40's and 5o's, you could tell which high schools girls went to by how they rolled their bobby sox.

It wasn't about "looking right". Rolled up cuffs were the style. Never washing your Levis was also in style at that time. We used to joke about standing them up in the corner. That guys cuffs would never have looked like that if those pants had ever been washed.
Later came rolling the cuffs under.
I'm 74 and I've worn Levis everyday my whole life

The only thing that looks really dorky is the white socks and penny loafers.
That reminds me. Girls used to sew tiny little seams down the legs of their Levis

That is Julie Ege. Former Bond girl and actor/model. I met her once when my granddad was hospitalized. She worked at our local hospital as a nurse at the time.

JC Agajanain's Studebaker #97 and on the other side is Agajanian's #98 Kuzma Offenhauser. I think Chuck Stevenson drove the #97 and I guess had little success with the Studebaker and ended up qualifying the #97 Kuzma Offy with an Offy[IMG]

A look at the DOHC Studebaker in the JC Agajanian #97 that Chuck Steveson drove in 1953.[IMG]

I've seen that movie quite a few times and never noticed that Robert Blake was in it. Probably like most people don't realise that the guy that played Alfalfa was in It's A Wonderful Life not long before his death. He's the guy who uses the key to open the floor where the pool is under for revenge on George Bailey after he cuts in on him with Mary.

My folks bought blue jeans for me that were too long, not to be stylish but so I could wear them longer. Grow and inch roll down the cuffs.....
