Went from Dad to son years ago. Got rode hard and Dad eventually rescued it back and then over the years got cannibalized for other projects and now just sets in a shed. My friend, the owner, is 85 now and I can't see him getting it back together although he is still messing with hot rods. Here is a picture of some of them currently. 000_0516.JPG

The Russian GAZ 13 Chaika ambulance is really neat. They were still building that body style until 1981. It's kinda like a Packard and a Checker had a baby, and it inherited the Checker's longevity (and roofline)

The fuel injection was gone by the mid 70's if I recall correctly.

Sorry for the lousy photo, but this is what I believe to be a 1935/36 C20 International or what’s left of it. It’s sitting about 100 metres North East of the local Pub. It was skull dragged up the hill from the swamp below not long before bush fires ravaged the area. It sat in that swamp for decades. Someone is planning to do something with it one day, I suppose. 3D54FACB-F1EB-440E-BEB5-C2C667D48892.jpeg

  11. Too bad about that 56 Ford custom. Looks like a whale of a lot of work went into it and now its just too eat up with rust to salvage.

Does a Sasquatch piss in the woods? Well, apparently so!

Saw this rusty A100 the other day at the local U-Pull. 20210402_143714.jpg 20210402_143655.jpg

  18. It’s got potential. Sure, you’ll need a complete mechanical update, new tires, new interior, new paint ( Winfield fade that is) , oh and a dual quad 413.

This is such a cool rare lcf. My father had a n900 when I was a boy. Hugh gas motor with air brakes. That’s when I learned about a 2speed rear end. I’ve never seen a crew cab. Hopefully it will get saved.

Anybody in the OKC area recognize this car? Saw it at another local U-Pull this weekend. To be honest, it wasn't really very well put together, but still was someone's pride and joy about 23 years ago. The cycle of life I guess... 20210423_091955.jpg 20210423_092018.jpg 20210423_092033.jpg 20210423_092033.jpg 20210423_092101.jpg 20210423_092311.jpg

I can’t believe people sell stuff that old to pick and pulls. I’d really like the OT extended cab truck next to it.

  24. That 8 3/4 is one of the narrowest -like a A body - looks like it might have had a posi or 355/391 gears which are common to the A100's. The spring pads are on top though...

Could have been a posi, I'm pretty sure the third member was gone.

  28. I like the Buzzard banner. I listened to them when they were still WHK FM. Billy Bass was the only DJ and they used to rotate his recorded broadcast for 24/7 coverage. I remember Ghoulardi blowing up model kits with m-80s. I think he encouraged kids to send models so they can see their models being blown up. Great times.
Oh and I like your '57 Pontiac project too.

I was wondering what was sold first, the bostrum seats or the 3.91 hogshead.

Thanks. Found the banner for sale online years ago, it used to hang in the old stadium for a time from what I was told. The creator of the beloved Buzzard, David Helton is alive and well and lives down in TN. He can be found selling his wares on Facebook, if the nostalgia bug ever bites you. I dig Ghoulardi but missed him by a few years, just in time to catch The Ghoul on channel 61 back in the early 70s. That's his photo I'm using. He loved blowing models up too. Hopefully, I won't be tempted to do that with my big Chief.
